Meh, alright
An obscure-ish film non review…

This is in honor of my old roommate who just returned from a trip to Ireland. Thanks Guttentag for pointing me in this gems direction! Today’s film is Fifty Dead Men Walking, and if you do give it a watch I would suggest subtitles, because, well, the Irish accent can be a difficult one for an untrained ear.

So the film follows and Irish double agent working for the IRA and British Police operating in Belfast. Now, I’m not really a history buff, but after seeing this and learning it’s based on some dude’s actual life, I’ll admit my interests have been piqued (though in honesty I doubt I’ll ever really delve to far into the subject matter, but that’s on account of my infinite laziness). Back to the film, oddly enough Rose McGowan is in it, and awesomely enough Ben Kingsley is it. (speaking of his recent-ish video for Prada is kind of baller) So yeah those were the only random inclusions of note I can recall, but the film has quite a bit of violence and some rather heart tugging elements as well. What I found most interesting was the city seemed to operate as if all those violent elements were part of their normal lives. Obviously we all have different experiences, but that’s just something I hope I never see happen during my lifetime.

Any way, hope you give it a lookie-loo and feel free to let me know what you think.

-Cheers
